BBMF’s Trenchard Formation for Weston Air Festival

We are pleased to say that Weston Air Festival will be one of the limited number of shows this year to be treated to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Official)‘s tribute formation to the Royal Air Force‘s 100 Anniversary.

‘Trenchard Formation’, named in celebration of Sir Hugh Trenchard, considered the Founding father of the Royal Air Force, features the Dakota, Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane, unusually with the Dakota Leading the formation.

Its a stunning sight and will certainly be a highlight of the show! Flt Lt Tim ‘Twigs’ Dunlop, who is in his final year as the Bomber Lead with the Flight, has kindly made a short video of the formation and the training, with some great in flight footage!

Join us at Weston Air Festival 23 & 24th June on the Sea Front, Weston Super-Mare!
